COLORADO FARM BUREAU MUTUAL INSURANCE COMPANY
Personal privacy concerns have arrived at the forefront in the financial industry, impacting not only those who transact the business but also those who collect and maintain personal information. Addressing these concerns has resulted in both federal and state legislation. Specifically, the Gramm Leach Bliley Act of 1999 requires each member of the financial services industry to communicate its privacy policy to consumers at the time of establishing a customer relationship.
Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company, (herein known as "CFBMIC") recognizes the importance of our members' trust. Keeping our members' personal information confidential is a top priority for CFBMIC. This Privacy Policy Notice, which is required by state and federal law, explains our Privacy Policies.
How and Why We Obtain Personal Information:
We may collect nonpublic personal information, including financial and health information, directly from our customers or from other sources. We also collect information from applications or other forms. Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co. uses nonpublic personal information collected about you to provide you with the level of service you have come to expect from us. We may use this information in order to develop, offer and deliver products and services; apply for insurance; respond to inquiries from you or your insurance agent or broker; or to fulfill legal or regulatory requirements.

Who We Are:
Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company, (herein known as "CFBMIC") is domiciled in the State of Colorado and licensed to transact insurance in Colorado. CFBMIC provides personal and commercial insurance products and services to members of Colorado Farm Bureau. Examples of products we provide include motor vehicle, property, accident, health, and crop insurance. The Board of Directors of Colorado Farm Bureau maintains proxy control of CFBMIC. CFBMIC owns Farm Bureau Insurance Agency of Colorado, Inc., which provides our captive insurance distribution channel outlets for health, crop, automobile and workers compensation insurance.

By following this procedure your information will not be shared within or outside of Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co. except as permitted or required by law. If there are two or more joint owners of the insurance policy, we may send only one notice to the joint owners. Any one of the joint owners may exercise the right to opt out and we will treat an opt out direction by a joint owner as applying to all of the associated joint owners.
Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co. feels strongly about maintaining safeguards to ensure information security. We may share your financial information with the following types of third parties:

First and foremost, we do not sell lists of our customers, nor do we disclose customer information to marketing companies outside of Colorado Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co. family group or other Farm Bureau companies.
